The Rare Diseases Clinical Research Database has been developed by the Office of Rare Diseases at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the principal biomedical research agency in the U.S.

The site in general offers information on more than 6000 rare diseases, and links to patient support groups, research resources, news, reports, events and archives, genetics information, and to the NIH home page. There are numerous additional links to online registers of clinical trials, several of which appear on our own Links Register, and other relevant health websites.
