Indication
& Dosage







Oral

ROUNDWORM, WHIPWORM, HOOKWORM:
100mg b.i.d. for 3 days. 


THREADWORM AND TAPEWORM:
200MG B.I.D. FOR 3 DAYS. 


PINWORM:
100mg single dose.

NOTE: A second course may be given after 2-3 weeks.

microtubules in the parasite and causing glucose depletion.

Interactions



Carbamazepine and Hydatoin:
Reduce plasma levels of mebedazole thus decreasing its efficacy.

Adverse
Effect & Precaution




Nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal
pain, skin rash, hair loss and granulocytopenia.



Precaution: Round worms may be expelled from mouth or nose.

Pregnancy: Contraindicated.

Breast Feeding: Use with caution.
