Indication
& Dosage




Hodgkin’s & non Hodgkin’s
lymphomas, mycosis fungoides, testicular carcinoma, Kaposi’s sarcoma.

Dosage: Adults: For i.v. use only. Initial: 3.7mg/m2 single dose.
Increments at weekly intervals depending on WBC  counts (counts
should not come below 3000/mm3) Max. 18.5mg/m2

Children: Initial 2.5mg/m2 single dose. Increments at weekly intervals
depending on WBC counts. Max 12.5mg/m2

Interactions

 

Mitomycin: Acute shortness of
breath and severe bronchospam.

Phentoin: Combination chemotherapy (Including vinblastine) may reduce
plasma levels and increase seizures activity.

Erythromycin:  Severe myalgia, neutropenia and constipation.

Precaution



Hepatic fuction impairment,
leucopenia, aspermia. Nausea, vomiting, hypertension, Alopecia.



Precaution: The needle should be properly postion in the vein as any
leakage may cause considerable irritation Fatal if given Irritation.

Fatal if given intrathecally.

Pregnancy: Use with caution only if benefit outweigh potential risk.

Breast Feeding: Discontinue nursing or the drug

Man: Use with caution.
