Intratympanic Gentamicin in Meniere’s Disease.
Acta Otolaryngol (Stockh) 118:294-298, 1998.
Intratympanic administration of gentamicin for Meniere’s disease shows contradictory results.
The authors conclude that intratympanic gentamicin is relatively safe and effective for treating intractable Meniere’s disease and can be used for retreatment in cases of recurrence . Some problems did occur. Ten ears treated became deafened. Sometime dizziness was not ablated.
