Transoral Carbon Dioxide Laser Resection of Supraglottic Carcinoma

Thirty-four patients underwent procedure. In 12 patients, it was considered palliative. Twenty-one patients underwent neck dissection at the same time or 1 week later. 24 patients received radiation therapy (RT).
The procedure achieves results comparable to those achieved by external partial resection. It has low morbidity and can be done at any age. In T1 and T2, this procedure can be regarded and T3or T4, with neck dissection or RT is considered curative. It also provided tracheostomy free-life and palliative RT for patients with advanced disease.
