The rhomboid flap in medial canthal reconstruction

    Br. J Ophthal, May 2001, vol.85; p.556-559

The authors describe a simple technique to enclose a medial canthal defect, following excision of a basal cell carcinoma.

25 cases were performed under local anaesthesia. The rhomboid flap was found to be an effective, quick and simple technique for medial canthal reconstruction.

The cosmetic result was excellent and there were minimal complications.
