Hearing and Otopathology in Crouzon Syndrome
Laryngoscope 109: 1372 – 1375, 1999
In 19 patients, Crouzon syndrome or craniofacial dystosis were examined and evaluated functionally by audiometry. 10 patients had hearing loss, 4 conductive loss, 4 sensorineural loss, and 2 mixed hearing loss. Eight had congenital anomalies like malalignment of the pinna in 6 and external auditory atresia in1.
This study indicates close follow-up of otological and audiological findings in patients of Crouzon syndrome.
