Pierre Robin Syndrome: Mandibular Growth During the First Year of Life.

A new jaw index (Alveolar Overjet x Maxillary Arch/Mandibular Arch) is used to define micrognathia. 7 patients were studied with this index and compared with 100 normal newborns.



It was concluded mandible growth with syndrome is proportionate to mandible growth with normal children at 6 and 12 months. This fact can be of assurance to the parents.
