    The 2-Piece Le Fort I Osteotomy for Cranial Base Access: An Evaluation of 9 Patients 

    J Oral Maxillofac Surg 58: 482-486, 2000

           

    Traditional surgical approaches to cranial base lesions carry significant disadvantages. 

           

    This new technique was described in 9 patients to access to skull bone. Various lesions of clival region caused minimal morbidity and avoided complications reported with sub frontal, lateral and transsphenoidal approaches.
