Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen Expression in Prostatic Intraepithelial Neoplasia and Adenocarcinoma; A Study of 184 Cases
Cancer 82 : 2256 – 2261, 1998
Conclusion – Expression of specific membrane antigen [PSM] is clinically useful for identifying adenocarcinoma. Its expression is regulated independent of prostate specific antigen [PSA].
Number of PSM immunoreactive cells did not predict recurrence, probably because of abundant immunoreactivity was present in most cases or because of differential expression in primary and metastatic disease.
